Eau Claire Smoking Ban

The Eau Claire smoking ban has ignited a hot debate in the city.

Is it better to restrict the "legal" priviledges of one adult to respect the desires of another? Is it ok to make bar owners throw away the ash trays whether they like it or not? Is it a right to smoke? Is it a right to smoke in front of other people, or is it the right of people to not be smoked around? Who should have to go outside, the smokers or the non-smokers?

I'm not a smoker, but I'm on the side of allowing bar owners to make the decision if they wish to ban smoking. If this were a debate about banning smoking from homes or cars where children are present I would be all for it. Any-who, I'm not going to rant about it - I'm going to leave that up to my readers. So go on - tell everyone what you think about the Eau Claire smoking ban.

Does the Eau Claire smoking ban mean healthier establishments for customers who don't smoke, or rights being striped away from customers who do, and who’s rights are more important?
